AUSTIN SPURS TO HOST FIRST-EVER GAME IN LAREDO ON DEC. 11

AUSTIN (Oct. 13, 2022) – The Austin Spurs today announced that the team will host a regular season game in Laredo for the first time in team history on Sunday, Dec. 11 at the Sames Auto Arena as part of Spurs Sports & Entertainment’s efforts to deepen their fanbase and better reach their fans across the team’s region from Mexico to Austin.

Austin will face the México City Capitanes at 4 p.m., and the game will mark the second time the Spurs organization has played in Laredo. The San Antonio Spurs played a preseason game against the Houston Rockets in the city in 2004.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Oct. 21 at 10 a.m. at samesautoarena.com and the arena’s box office. The first 500 fans who purchase tickets at the box office on Friday will have the opportunity to take a photo with the five San Antonio Spurs championship trophies at the game.

Fans who attend the game will be able to enjoy a special appearance from the Spurs Coyote and in-game entertainment from the Spurs Hype Squad.
