AUSTIN (Nov. 5, 2022) – Two Spurs recorded double-doubles as Austin won the second game of a back-to-back against the Texas Legends, 127-122, for their first home win of the 2022-23 G League Showcase Cup.

Chaundee Brown Jr. finished 12-of-18 from the field to lead the Spurs with 29 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists, while Two-way player Charles Bassey tallied 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks in only 20 minutes of action. Jalen Adaway also added 25 points in the win.

Austin outscored the Legends 15-6 to open the game and carried a 36-29 lead into the second quarter. Texas outscored Austin 36-24 in the second to take a five-point lead into the break. Adaway and Brown combined for 30 first-half points for the Spurs.

The Legends maintained their lead behind 15 third-quarter points from Jaden Hardy, finishing the period with a 100-92 advantage. With 7:02 remaining in the game, Bassey knocked down a triple to tie the score 105-all. Both teams traded baskets before the Spurs rolled off seven straight points with under two minutes left to pull away and seal the win.

Hardy led the Legends with 33 points and 5 rebounds, and McKinley Wright IV added 24 points and 7 assists.
