Weeklong Celebration Highlighting Local Nonprofits Will Feature Canned Food, Toy and Clothing Drive
AUSTIN, Texas (Nov. 22, 2019) – The Austin Spurs, presented by SWBC, today announced that they will host a Week of Caring Nov. 24-30, highlighted by three home games at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park during the week of Thanksgiving.
On Sunday, Nov. 24, Austin will take on the Salt Lake City Stars at 4 p.m. for Community Night. The team will be honoring local organizations that make the community a better place. The game against the Stars is also a Salvation Army Sunday, and fans can donate a new or gently used item of clothing in exchange for a game ticket.
On Monday, Nov. 25, the Spurs will face the Lakeland Magic at 7:30 p.m. for Food Drive Night. Fans will have the opportunity to donate two canned goods in exchange for one game ticket to benefit Central Texas Food Bank.
On Friday, Nov. 29, the team will play the South Bay Lakers at 7:30 p.m. for Black Friday. All fans in attendance are encouraged to wear black and bring a toy donation for the team’s NBA G League Season of Giving activities in December.
