AUSTIN, Texas (Feb. 7, 2020) – The Austin Spurs, presented by SWBC, today announced that they will host their annual Pink Night benefiting Susan G. Komen® Greater Central and East Texas on Thursday, Feb. 13 at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park when the Spurs take on the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 7:30 p.m.
For each game ticket purchased at bit.ly/spurspinkforkomen, $3 will be donated to Komen Greater CETX. Fans can also support Komen Greater CETX by purchasing breast cancer ribbons for $1 at the main entrance of the arena. The individual ribbons will be placed on the wall to form a giant ribbon, and each ribbon purchase also gives fans a raffle entry for a chance to win a necklace from Tiffany & Co. at the Domain. The winner will be drawn at halftime.
Head Coach Blake Ahearn will be a Pink Tie Guy this year to help raise money for life-saving mammograms, testing and more to ensure women across Central and East Texas have the breast health services they need. Fans can donate to his 24-hour fundraiser by visiting bit.ly/pinktieguyahearn or texting PINKTIE to 54244 beginning Feb. 13 at 12 a.m. and ending Feb. 14 at 12 a.m.
Komen Greater CETX Board President Scott O’Brien will speak at halftime. Breast cancer survivors will be honored throughout the game as they participate in the game ball delivery, co-captain of the game and a high-five tunnel for team introductions. All fans are encouraged to wear pink.
