Austin Spurs Acquire Mouhamed Sene

AUSTIN, Texas (Feb. 26, 2016) – The Austin Spurs, presented by SWBC, today announced they have acquired center Mouhamed Sene. He was first acquired by the Austin Spurs in March, 2015 and played with the team for the remainder of the 2014-15 season, averaging 5.7 points and 4.1 rebounds in seven games.

Sene, 6-11/230, was drafted by the Seattle Supersonics with the No. 10 pick in the 2006 NBA Draft. While playing for Seattle (2006-08), he had multiple assignments with the NBA Development League’s Idaho Stampede. During the 2007-08 season with Idaho, he was NBA D-League Co-Defensive Player of the Year. The Senegal native’s career includes numerous NBA and overseas stops.

Sene will wear jersey No. 41 and join Austin for back-to-back games against Oklahoma City this weekend when the team faces the Blue on the road at Cox Convention Center on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 1 p.m. and on their home court at Cedar Park Center on Sunday, Feb. 28, at 5 p.m. For ticket information, please visit or call (512) 236-8333.
