AUSTIN SPURS HOST FREE DAY OF CAMP FOR COMMUNITY YOUTH

AUSTIN, Texas (July 31, 2018) – The Austin Spurs, presented by SWBC, will host a free, day-long summer basketball camp for local youth at LBJ High School on Friday, Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Campers will play games and work on their basketball skills in a fun environment.

The team will partner with Central Health, CommUnity Care, Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, Ray Jackson’s Rising Stars and other community volunteers to provide a day of camp for youth in the area who may not have had the opportunity to experience camp this summer. Free back-to-school physical exams will also be available for student athletes from 9 a.m. until noon. A parent or legal guardian must be present during the exam.

Students entering the third-through-ninth grades are invited to attend free of charge. Pre-registration is required. For more information or to register for the camp, please call (512) 236-8333. Campers should wear athletic shoes and clothes. Lunch will be provided.
